Today is the second time I met my senior. We have been divided into seven groups according to our major course which are Construction Management , Building Technology , Quantity Surveying , Urban And Regional Planning , Interior Design , Architecture and Building Surveying.
They told us about our Housing, Building & Planning orientation which is going to held on 9 July to 12 July. Besides that, they also collected RM36.00 from all the HBP members for the orientation fees. The RM36.00 is included a t-shirt, grand dinner and others fees.
During the four days of the orientation, they planned a lot of activities for us such as opening ceremony, sports, ice breakinng, grand dinner and others. Our opening ceremony will be held on 3:00PM ,10 July 2009 (the second day of the orientation). They have planned many sport activities such as football and netball. We will have our activity at Dataran Merah, Minden Height and somewhere else in USM.
Our seniors explain clearly to us who not really understand. My friends whose time (LKM 400 class) crashed with the orientation time, Medical Check and Ko-K, both our seniors help them solve the problems patiently.
I think throughout the four days orientation, we will get to know each other better. I hope all of us will enjoy the orientation because this is the only time for us through the life in HBP.

Today is the first day of our orientation, we were having our orientation at two places which are USM Stadium and Minden. At USM Stadium , they were having a football match at Stadium and netball at Minden. We started the game at 5:00PM in Stadium. The games at Minden were canceled.
There were quite a lot of groups with boys, but only have one group with girls. While playing the games, some guys fell down while playing football but they insisted playing until it ended. They have strong spirit oin sport. It was really interesting when the HBP Staff Team matched with Student Team. In the end, the winner was Staff Team.
I feel good after watching the interesting games. This is a good experience for me because I can take this opportunity to relax myself after the first week of University orientation.

Our opening ceremony started at 3:00 pm at E48B, HBP. First , our seniors have invided the King to give us a speech. After that , Profesor Ir. Dr. Mahyuddin Ramli gave a short speech to us. Before the end of the opening ceremony , the seniors gave us some briefing about the progressing of the orientation.

On the same day , we have our ice breaking at Dataran Merah on 8:30 pm. Each group was requires to submit a sculpture depending on group creativity. I'm from the Group 14 and our leader is Sua Yi Zheng. They provided us 4 pcs of Manila Card. We were asked to bring our own scissors , glues and marker pens. Our group names is IMAGO. Do you know what is IMAGO ? Imago is type of big butterfly. Imago contains the concept of transformation. Besides that, we also need to create a cheer or a yell for our group that related to our group theme. Here is our cheer :

We were the first group presented our idea.
These are the photos I took on 11 July 2009 at HBP Bangunan. This is our group work. We need to do a sculpture to protect the egg.
At around 2:30pm , we started our game. Each group's representative has to throw the sculpture from third floor , if the egg did not brake or crack, the group would have the chance to be the winner. Unfortunately , the eggs of our group broke up.
It was rainning heavily, no idea how should we go to the Dataran Merah for the Explorace since we did not have transport even bus. After that , they sent the seniors to fetch us by car. At there, we have to get clues from each station so that we could proceed to the next station. We have a total of 8 station. First clue of the first station was "Super - Duper Senior Habitat", so we went to the studio. There were around five or six senior waiting for us. They asked us a lot of questions. After that, we have to continue getting our clues in every station.
12 July 2009 was the last day of HBP orientation. We gathered at Dataran Merah at 10:00 am . Every group has to come out with a performance and our group performance was dance. The theme of the dance is metaphorisis. Our concept was transformation from orang asli to tradisional and lastly is modern. We practised and merged the three selected songs into one song.
At 8:30pm , everyone was asked to wear mask. We have our grand dinner together and enjoyed the performance.
